I'm born in Sanremo (IM) in 1980. I took a degree in Architectural Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, in 2005, with a thesis on a numerical model application for the restoration of the historical canals in the Royal Park of Racconigi. I have a PhD in Water and Land Management Engineering (Politecnico di Torino). I studied the development of the hydraulic science and technology both in ancient and modern ages, with a special focus on the history of european parks and gardens between XVI e XIX, and their restoration. My PhD thesis was awarded with the 2nd prize of the Premio Ville Lucchesi, 2009 edition. I'm now a post-doc at the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering, Politecnico di Torino. My present research activity is also focused on renewable energies (especially on small hydropower) and their environmental impacts, as well as on the methods for improving the energy efficiency of traditional water wheels.
